Creative visionaries gather round IDx 2019

To celebrate World Industrial Design Day last June 29, Altum Concepts organized IDx 2019 to start an important discourse around responsible consumption and production in the circular economy.

Numerous architects, designers, and artisans from different organizations joined the conversation at the Gallery, ASPACE Greenbelt, Makati City with the help of Circulo and the World Design Organization.

The event kicked off with Altum co-founder Carlo Delantar, who shared his insights through his Circular Economy 101 lecture. This was followed by a roundtable discussion with Angela Chen from East Circular, Celia Elumba of DOST - Philippine Textile Research Institute, and Jeanne Lasch of WWF - Sustainable Diner, among others. Of course, we wrapped it up through a Circular Strategies Workshop with Carlo once again.

Responsible consumption and production is the 12th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). This milestone is all about changing the way we human beings utilize and manage our shared resources in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint. Ideally, we see SDG 12 in action as we design a sustainable future for generations to come.
