Altum comes full circle at Circulo
Many organizations in the Philippines have wanted to make a shift to the circular economy, but they don’t really know where to start. That’s why we hosted Circulo, a workshop that aimed to catalyze efforts toward a more sustainable future. For this purpose, we headed out in Makati last March 1 before coming round Cebu the day after.
During the event, we’ve had three esteemed speakers walk everyone through the basics of going circular. Angela Chen, Principal of East Circular, is an entrepreneur-in-residence at Antler, an early-stage incubator and VC in Singapore. Nate Maynar of Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER) researches complex environmental challenges to find solutions.
Of course, we also had our very own co-founder Carlo Delantar to promote collaboration and innovation through circular design. His passion for creative work and storytelling encouraged people to see the world in a new and more sustainable light.
Various designers, government officials, and thought leaders participated in the roundtable discussion afterwards. They were certainly eager to study the wonders of art and tech in the circular economy. The Altum team is thrilled to say that Circulo was a success, so we’re looking really forward to organize another event like this soon.
