A look through the world of the Global Shapers Community

Born out of the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers Community is a network of inspiring young people under the age of 30 working together to address local, regional and global challenges. With more than 7,000 members, the Global Shapers Community spans 369 city-based hubs in 171 countries.

Every year, all the Global Shaper Hubs’ Curators are invited to the Global Shaper Annual Summit in Geneva to create stronger connection, impact and collaboration towards improving the state of the world.

In each city, teams of Shapers self-organize to create projects that address the needs of their community. Projects are wide-ranging – from responding to disasters and combating poverty, to fighting climate change and building inclusive communities. Shapers are diverse in expertise, education, income and race, but are united by their desire to bring about change.

Being part of the Community, it has been an honor to learn and take action towards social, environmental and economical impact. Currently, as part of the Climate Action Steering Committee, we are excited to meet all the current Curators to talk about collective action towards Climate Action.
